Travel
Typical 2wd vehicles can access the Wasteland.
You should plan to leave yourself plenty of time to travel, be sure your vehicle is prepared for the trip prior to leave and carry a spare tyre/jack etc. Whilst driving ensure you plan for and have adequate breaks, rotate drivers and ensure your vehicle is not overpacked.
For those traveling from Perth, the Wasteland is a 4hr drive. There is one main road, and whilst it does have overtaking spots, they are limited. Please be considerate of other drivers and ensure you remain alert for Raiders. It may be advisable to fuel up your vehicle on the way into the Wasteland to assist with needing fuel on the return journey.
Please be aware that our entry gate to the event closes at 9pm to discourage night-driving.
Currency
Old-world pennies are no longer an acceptable form of currency in the Wasteland. Instead, bottlecaps (caps) are the legal trading tender!
Pre-purchase your bottlecaps prior to arriving in the wasteland or buy them at POX-ECLIPSE from the Bank.
Unused bottlecaps can be returned to the Bank for transferring to old-world money.
Sustenance and Hygiene
There will be some food and beverage vendors on site.
POX-ECLIPSE is licensed and no outside alcohol may be brought in.
Food, drinks and ice can be purchased using POX-ECLIPSE currency;- Bottlecaps.
No fires or burn barrels are allowed in general camping, but gas stoves are permitted.
The wasteland runs on making old things new - so you’ll find recycling bins around the Wasteland - please use them. Cans are especially important as we’re donating them to the Southern Cross Motorcycle Club to help with the town’s upkeep.
Please leave the wasteland as you found it and take all rubbish back to the old-world.
Yes! There are showers available in the Wasteland. Water is a valuable resource - so it’ll cost you a cap or two.
Vendors
We aim to have several wasteland vendors at POX-ECLIPSE. Vendors will accept bottlecap currency only. We expect food to cost 1-2 caps. The menu will be released approximately 1-2 weeks prior to the event. Unless otherwise signed, we encourage bartering in Bartertown.
Weather
The weather out on the wasteland is expected to be clear skies with mid-highs 20's during the days moving to colder nights at 10 degs. Rain is not expected, but possible. You should plan and prepare appropriately. Read more here.
