About

POX-ECLIPSE is Australia’s first major Wastelander event.

Inspired by the ‘MAD MAX’ films created by George Miller and Byron Kennedy, POX-ECLIPSE is a community-built event held in the historic gold mining town of Southern Cross in Western Australia. You’ll find us where the red desert starts, around 4 hours from Perth. POX-ECLIPSE is typically held in October which delivers mild daytime weather and cool evenings conducive to fire-pit storytelling and epic nights (and days) of dancing.

POX-ECLIPSE is a community-built event run by volunteers, and there are many wonderful ways to take part. Start or join a clan and make a camp within the walls of POX-ECLIPSE. Bring a vehicle and become a part of our Black Thumb quarter or become a trader in Barter Town. Perhaps you like to perform and want to share your special skill with the community? All of these options can be applied for through our ‘Participate’ page. If you choose not to join a clan before the event, you can camp in General Camping, outside of the walls of POX-ECLIPSE and enter each day just as if you were wandering into the town from the wastelands. For more information about how Pox-Eclipse works, see our Basic Info page.
